The temperature of the climate the athlete trains or competes in is all important and will affect body temperature and thus the ability to perform. As we move towards the warmer seasons consideration towards the effects of heat on performance is important for all athletes. Below are two articles highlighting the impact of heat on performance and general heat participation guidelines.

 TEAMS TRAVELLING TO SCHOOL SPORT AUSTRALIA CHAMPIONSHIPS THIS MONTH

  • 10-12yrs Tennis – Albury NSW – 22/10 to 30/10
  • Touch (12yrs & 15yrs) – Mandurah WA – 23/10 to 28/10
 

 

 STATE TEAM RESULTS THIS MONTH

  • 14yrs Baseball (NSW and ACT Tour) : Won 8 of 11 tour games
  • 15yrs Football (Japan Tour – boys and girls):
    • Boys 4 tour games – 3 wins and 1 draw
    • Girls 4 tour games - 4 wins
  • 19yrs Hockey (NZ Tour - boys and girls): Both teams undefeated on tour winning 8 tour games each.
  • 19yrs Cricket (boys): Retained the 1 day and 3 day trophies over NSW
  • Swimming (10-19yrs): 101 Gold, 100 Silver, 105 Bronze

      • 200m Medley Girls : 11yrs; 12yrs; 15-16yrs; 17-19yrs
      • 200m Medley Boys : 12yrs; 13-14yrs; 15-16yrs; 17-19yrs
